VOLTA 2026 is set to showcase 69 galleries from 26 countries. The Fair will showcase a dynamic mix of established and emerging talent, highlighting experimental curatorial practices from emerging galleries in the new section FRISCHE!; encourage cross-cultural dialogue through a dedicated Pavilion Everywhen: Contemporary Aboriginal Art; and celebrate the vibrant presence of 18 Swiss galleries.

This season, several VOLTA exhibitors present thought-provoking exhibitions that look to the future. The 20th edition of VOLTA Basel, closed its doors with twice as many visitors than the year before and reports of solid and considered sales, reflective of the discerning market. With collectors visiting from across the globe and a complimentary day for Basel residents as part of the fair’s 20th anniversary celebrations, VOLTA’s relocation to a bigger, central venue just 2 minutes from Art Basel has been highly praised.

To celebrate VOLTA's 20th Anniversary in its founding city of Basel, VOLTA's Amplify column writer, Alexandra Steinacker-Clark caught up with two of the most influential people, past and present, on the VOLTA team: Amanda Coulson, co-founder of VOLTA and previous artistic director for 16 years, and the current artistic director of the fair, Lee Cavaliere.
